Adolescent Therapy

Many adolescents come to therapy on their own, but others because they are told to by parents and schools. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space. My goals are to help the adolescent reduce their pain and suffering and to find meaningful relationships with peers and family. I teach tools to help them tolerate the waves of emotion and spiraling negative thought patterns. I help them learn effective coping skills.

In addition, I provide consultation to parents to help them effectively support their teenager.

Adolescents coming to my practice want to work on a range of issues including:

  • Anxiety

  • School related anxiety

  • Depression

  • Trauma

  • Peer group issues

  • Self harming behaviors

  • Parents Divorce

  • Sleep issues

  • Self esteem
